The company App Annie, which collects and analyzes data on the mobile industry, has published a ranking of mobile applications in which users have spent the most money. It is based on the amount of user spending over the lifetime of the applications.
According to the published data the iOS-version of YouTube application with the users spent more than $3 billion has topped the rating. The app broke the mark on October 16. YouTube is followed by TikTok and Pandora Music, whose users have spent more than $2 billion each during the entire time.
The source notes that in October this year, YouTube was able to climb into third place in terms of user spending of all non-gaming applications on all platforms largely due to the iOS version of the product. At the same time among the streaming applications YouTube was able to take the leading position not only in the App Store, but also in the Google Play Market.
As for the domestic application market, the social network client “VKontakte” leads in terms of spending by Russians for all time. The second place in the ranking is occupied by the Boom music application and the third place is taken by the Litres book application. However, data on the volume of user spending was not disclosed.
